hello.
i'm redesigning/reformatting the website again. i probably missed something during the latest conversion. everything is a learning process. i'll add more later as i remember what i missed.
since my decision to step away from social media, i have not really had a place to share the latest dandelion hands related news to the people who care about that sort of thing. i'll be using this portal to relay relevant information and give updates on my silly little project(s).
i guess i'll start with some old news. a little recap of what has been going on the past couple months.
on feb 14th, i launched a crowd funding campaign through bandcamp to put bleak week on vinyl that wound up getting funded in its entirety. being my second time working on something like this, i (hopefully) got everything together faster than last time. actual production finished toward the end of july. i think everyone who ordered a vinyl through the campaign has it by now. i have a handful of copies that i plan on selling at a later date. when will that be? idk.
on may 28th, i released a song that i worked on with my friend sam around a year ago called "unfolding a tesseract". its one of a series of songs that were recorded at sam's place over the course of a month or two. real superfans may recognize it from livestreams or from songs for t from katpis tapes. i also released a roguelike romhack for a gba game that i had been working on for about a year. i'm not sure if people that listen to my music care about the other things that i do, so i'll just leave it at that. if you want to check it out, go here.
on july 25th, i played a show at bonk's bar in philly with crywank and local news legend. i had not played a real in person live show since march of 2019, so i was a bit rusty. during the show from 2019, i accidentally knocked my omnichord off my keyboard stand into the crowd where it exploded into a bunch of tiny pieces. thankfully, that did not happen this time! it probably helped that i didn't bring the omnichord... i had a lot of fun performing and meeting everyone. i'm happy to have made something of use.
since then, i have been recovering from some kind of nerve damage in my right hand. i'm not really sure what caused it, but i wouldn't be surprised if there are multiple contributing factors. i am currently unable to use my right hand for the majority of things it could usually do including but not limited to; playing instruments, using a mouse and keyboard, or grasping any object without pain and a severe lack of strength and dexterity. i intend to take a break from all current projects until i am able to heal. if you have any energy to spare, i would appreciate it if you channeled it to me. if you are currently channeling nasty energy toward me, please stop.
in the next post, i'll do a deep dive on the bleak week vinyl release or maybe a list of games i've enjoyed recently or maybe some food recommendations or a top 10 mr. roger's neighborhood episode list idk. i'll try to use this as a space to communicate with whoever is listening.
